the “first look”

i had a bride contact me yesterday to ask if i meant when the bride and groom first see each other walking down the aisle when i say “first look”.  being immersed in weddings constantly, i forget sometimes that some folks don’t know what i am talking about!  so clarification…  the first look is when the bride and groom choose to go off away from everyone else to see each other for the first time in their wedding gown and tux before the ceremony.  as a wedding photographer i highly recommend giving it a shot.  not only does it make for some really adorable photos before the ceremony, it also cuts down the amount of time you will spend on photography between your ceremony and reception plus it takes a little pressure off from your pre-ceremony wedding day jitters.
