i have a couple of questions for you brides and future brides that i would LOVE to get some feedback about:
1. how many final edited photos do you expect from your wedding day
2. how much do you expect to pay for wedding photography? what is included in this price?
My husband and I eloped. Now we are having a wedding for family and friends. He loves the 1940s and I love Paris (we met there, I really want it in the theme some how.) and I am having trouble finding a dress idea that could fit this. Any suggestions?
I love BHLDN and their beautiful wedding gowns so I’ll start there, here are three adorable dresses with a vintage feel:
Aiguille Gown $1,200
Fairy Song Gown $1,400
Lita Gown $2,400
- Other Brands -
Corrina Gown by J. Crew $495
If you aren’t afraid of a little color and want an authentic vintage dress, I found this gorgeous 1940s Gold Gown on Etsy from TrunkofDresses for $325
Look for something with sleeves, even if they are just cap sleeves. Strapless wedding dresses and sweetheart necklines were not big in the 1940s. I think that a 1940s theme fits perfectly with Paris… a glamorous era meets a glamorous location.
And I’ll even post a hair suggestion for you:
this floral garter is so incredibly gorgeous! unfortunately it has been floating around tumblr with no source for me to include to identify it… does anyone know who made it/where it is available?
i think you are right sarah, thank you!
missemilyjones asked:holly- any suggestions on where to get hot bridal lingere? im looking for something to wear under my dress that helps hold everything in place but isnt an eyesore like spanx. i dont want my skivvies to be embarassing at the end of the night!
agent provocateur has some amazing corset pieces including a couple in a bridal line such as these two:
the classic corset $470

I'm a drugstore girl through and through! So anything you can find in superdrug/boots is my thing! I need something to even my skintone out? and just something to clear my face of little pimples and blackheads?! help :( thank youu!
i’m a drugstore girl too, but sometimes i splurge on the clinique system if i’m having major breakout problems… for the past couple of months i have been using neutrogena oil free acne wash (the pink grapefruit kind) after reading rave reviews. i’m a big fan, but if i use it twice a day every day it has a tendency to dry out my skin which could have just been because i started using it during the winter.
check out this marie claire article "how to wash your face", drink no less than 64oz of water per day, and try out 5 natural ways to remove blackheads. 2 months gives you plenty of time to get your skincare under control!
anyone else have suggestions they would like to share?
raachmau said: look at your local city/state zoo! they have a million animals, and all really cool like that
ok, i was all confused like what the hell are you talking about… then i finally remembered that i posted this photo/question about where to buy animal masks.
i saw some at the national zoo in DC, but they were pretty expensive, unfortunately we don’t have a zoo close to here. the ones that i found on amazon are mostly too childish/cheap to hold up in a photo booth i think. *maybe* if i got this animal faces book and laminated the masks they would last for a while.
i usually make up albums digitally and submit them for publishing through adoramapix.com so i don’t know much about laminated albums.
can any of you provide any insight/help for fannyann?
pinkidea said: I Love everything you did !. I wish you can organize my wedding :))) i dont even have a bf :DD but girls always think about their weddings right? :)
thank you doll! i am actually a photographer, not a wedding planner. maybe i should try my hand at it though, running a wedding blog has to be quite a bit like planning an actual wedding right?
and i’m not engaged or married, but i’ve been running this tumblr for years so what does that tell you? and i’ve heard plenty of responses from ladies who are married, but still obsess about wedding things, it’s a girl thing, wedding love forever!

Anonymous asked: Advice on catering your own wedding? or getting cheap food, like fast food or pizzas?!ok, sometimes i think you guys are just messing with me with the "ask" feature, but this one seems at least half-way legit so i will give you some advice for some ideas that won’t look so tacky as a silver platter of whoppers or a stack of dominos boxes.
and just to clarify, i love the idea of eating pizza at a wedding, but the thought of the pizza hut delivery guy rolling up in the middle of the ceremony makes me cringe, almost as much as the idea of eating cold chicken mcnuggets and french fries.
keep in mind that a smaller guest list equals a smaller bill overall, even if you self-cater your wedding, plus you get to spend more time with each individual attending friend and family member. and sacrificing something small like programs or buying your wedding dress second hand can help you move some of your budget funds to use towards food cost.
Anonymous asked: Hi! Do you or any of your followers have any fun ideas for a casual picnic wedding? Most of us don’t really like to dance, so I’m looking for other types of entertainment that wouldn’t be tacky but still fit in the picnic theme. Thanks!
as far as entertainment goes, i’m always a huge fan of photobooths [you get photos at the end and it keeps guests entertained so it’s a win, win!]. your guests will probably be sitting down so any kind of simple board games [i personally love chinese checkers] or classic cards. try setting up some lawn games like croquet or bocce ball. and here are some photos for inspiration that are not related at all to your entertainment…
these yellow gingham invitations may be a bit too informal for a wedding, but i’ll leave it up to you to determine whether or not they are a good fit.
vintage picnic basket wedding invitations from minted
i love how the wedding venue is the same as the reception venue and the food has already been distributed in a variety of vintage picnic baskets.
keep in mind that some of your guests might not be physically able to get down on the ground to sit… depending on your location, hay bales with quilts over them could be an option for these guests or traditional picnic tables.
do any of you have any suggestions for a casual picnic wedding?
Anonymous asked:Do you have any suggestions for a movie theater location and movie themed wedding. We love horror movies (But all kinds of movies as well) but we want to keep it classy. Thanks :)i can’t really do anything to help with a movie theater location (especially without your location miss anon), but i can show you some photos for inspiration. keep in mind that the lighting in movie theaters is HORRIBLE and an absolute nightmare for your photographer. my suggestion is to set up a cozy outdoor movie theater for your reception.
