pretty little wedding things

Hi! My wedding is in about a month and I’m just kind of worried on how to decorate the reception hall. It’s just one big room with reaaalllyy tall ceilings (so can’t hang anything from them—one of the challanges) I love lights- christmas lights, globe lantern lights, but don’t really have anywhere to put anything…any suggestions?

decorate it as if you were decorating an outside venue.  don’t use the ceiling to hang things, hang them from the sides of the room.  if you aren’t supposed to stick things to the wall either, skate around the rules by getting a pack of 3m hooks with damage free adhesive strips [there are different sizes, try to get the bigger ones, maybe even consider paying a little more for the metal ones] to stick to the wall.  you can use them to hang twine, wire, or rope to hang things from or to string along lights.
